Set up your home, electricity prices, equipment and Intelligence choice so VPPiQ Home can start learning about your household.

Guided setup creates the household VPPiQ Home uses for planning. Use Save and continue to move forward, or Back to review an earlier section. On a phone, choose the section from the Setup section menu; the questions are the same.
1. Household address and details
Start with the home name, address search, ownership, property type and how many people live there. Solar, battery and EV answers decide which later sections appear. If those answers stay No, setup stays short: household, energy, Intelligence and completion.
Answering Yes adds Solar and battery and EV setup. The right-hand progress count can be higher than the number of sections because it tracks every required item.
2. Energy provider
Search for your retailer. Amber uses wholesale prices and currently needs an Amber API token; a simpler Amber sign-in is being built. Other retailers need a confirmed retail tariff before planning can begin.
Paste a token created in your Amber account. Do not email the token to support.Create the token in Amber, then return to VPPiQ Home. This page is private; replace it with a sanitised capture before publishing.
If you are not on Amber, search the retailer, then find a published plan, upload a recent bill, or enter rates manually. Match the rate option on the bill, including any controlled-load or solar feed-in terms. Retail-plan optimisation is currently in beta.
Find current plan lists published plans for the retailer and postcode. Choose the rate option that matches the bill.You can drop a PDF, JPEG or PNG of the bill instead of searching the catalogue. Maximum 10 MB.VPPiQ Home extracts rates from the bill. Review every result before it is used. Do not upload passwords or payment pages.If the catalogue or bill upload is not a match, enter the retailer name and the rates from the bill.Open each section that applies: import, feed-in, free periods and other conditions. A later catalogue refresh does not silently replace this snapshot.Add every peak, shoulder and off-peak window shown on the bill, including days and months.
3. Inverter, battery and solar
Shown when you have solar or a battery. Connect a supported inverter account so VPPiQ Home can discover hardware instead of asking you to type it. FoxESS is among the first connections. Sigenergy, Sungrow and GoodWe connections are in development.
Choose the brand and whether VPPiQ should control the battery, then connect the account. Add solar size only if it is missing.Finish sign-in in the provider window. Allow system data access, and device control only if you want automation later.
4. EV setup
Shown when you have a car. Add the charger type and power first. Tesla Smart Charging needs account consent, then virtual-key pairing and telemetry. Other EVs can still inform the plan.
The charger limit is used to judge whether a charging plan can finish on time.Sign in on Tesla’s page. Do not paste the Tesla password into email or Mia.Wait until both approvals finish. Smart Charging needs Tesla consent and a paired virtual key.
5. Intelligence mode
New homes start in Preview Mode. Preview monitors the site and creates plans without controlling the battery or car. Full Automation stays unavailable until VPPiQ Home has usable history and the home is ready. You can also choose Off.
Full Automation may appear in the list, but new homes stay on Preview until learning and readiness are complete.
6. Completion
When every required item is done, open the Energy Map or review Settings. You can change these answers later.
After you finish
The Energy Map becomes your home view. VPPiQ Home starts observing connected equipment and preparing plans. Learning uses usable household history and device readiness, so missing data can extend the time before automation is offered.
To reopen Guided setup later, go to Settings > Overview and select Household readiness. The control still works when it already says Everything is ready.
Select the ring or the Everything is ready text. Connections, Strategy and Access next to it are status only.
