Intelligence settings

The Intelligence tab is the customer control for Off, Preview Mode and Full Automation. When planning is enabled, you also choose a battery planning profile and the permissions that sit around it.

Managed profiles are fixed. Custom is household-configured. Permissions such as grid charging, stored-battery export and backup reserve override every profile.

• Balanced weighs bill outcome, using your solar and keeping a sensible reserve.
• Preserve Battery favours lower battery activity and stronger reserve protection.
• Maximum Profit gives more weight to economic opportunities within your limits. The name is not a guarantee of profit.
• Custom starts from Balanced and lets you change supported planning preferences.

A profile cannot grant grid-charging or export permission you have turned off, and it cannot override equipment limits. Grid charging, stored-battery export and backup-reserve protection are separate permissions.

Hardware limits are applied automatically and cannot be exceeded. Save planning policy after you change a profile or permission.

EV charging profiles

When a supported EV path is enabled, use Fastest, Solar Preferred or Lowest Cost. Fastest aims to finish as soon as it is safe. Solar Preferred uses forecast surplus solar and is best effort. Lowest Cost looks for lower-cost windows while still aiming at the ready-by goal. If older names such as Battery health or Balanced still appear, prefer the three profiles above. A late connection or limited charger power can make a target impossible.
